Former Head of Building Control Professional Standards at the Building Safety Regulator, Ged is one of the most senior building inspectors in the country with over 30 years’ experience.

Ged has developed multiple shared services for local authorities across the West Midlands. He has led Birmingham City Council's local authority building control company, and has supported the Building Safety Regulator in assessing their highest-risk buildings.

We are appointed by both the general public and companies to assess plans and inspect building work.

Once passed, we issue a Final Certificate for building work; this demonstrates that the building work is compliant with building regulations.

This is important part of the property history, and is legally required to discharge the client's statutory obligations. It is also useful information for insurers, warranty providers, future property buyers and investors.

We are the only Registered Building Control Approver based in Staffordshire.
